Bacoa offers income tax filing assistance
Foundation Tax-Aide Program, helps low- to moderate-income taxpayers file state and federal returns. Trained AARP tax volunteers will assist with completing and filing returns using a combination of virtual and in-person appointments, following COVID-19 safety precautions. Bacoa and NeuroBalance Center offer stress-busting program for caregivers
Caring for a loved one with a chronic illness can be stressful, lonely and difficult. A free program, offered by Bacoa and NeuroBalance Center, can help. Caregiver Stress-Busting: Chronic Illness Program teaches caregivers stress-management techniques and relaxation and coping strategies. The free nine-week class is designed for family caregivers of persons living with Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, heart disease, cancer, dementia, or other chronic illnesses. The sessions will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 1-2:30 p.m., from March 3 - April 28. Because of COVID-19 safety precautions, sessions will be held via Zoom. Bacoa’s February virtual programming includes music, baking and crafts
Bacoa continues to offer a wide variety of its virtual programming with presentations, concerts and activities that can be accessed by Zoom. All programs are free; participants can join them by computer (video and sound), smartphone (video and sound) or regular phone (sound only).
